WALLPAPERS
It is highly recommended to order a sample of the wallpaper you are interested in before making your final purchase. Colours and pattern dimensions may appear to be different on screen. Colours can even appear to be different looking at the same picture from different devices.
Please note that custom-sized panels for murals / wallpaper ordered by square metre are produced for your wall measurements only and are not returnable unless agreed to be faulty. Fabrics are always printed to order and are NOT returnable.
We strongly recommend getting some hanging advice from a decorator to take the correct wall measurement and calculate the amount of wallpaper needed. Please be aware that wallpapers are printed in batches, which means each batch might have a very slight shift in colour. This will be noticeable if hung directly next to a different batch. We only keep little stock as most of our products are made to order. Ordering additional rolls at a later date may result in that batch being sold out. Therefore make sure to order all the rolls you’ll need in one go.
Some patterns are "straight match" and some are "drop match" . It is essential to factor in the pattern repeat and pattern match when calculating the amount required to ensure that you will have enough paper. If you require assistance to calculate the wallpaper amount please send us your wall measurements via our wallpaper calculator
https://www.goodandcraft.com/roll-quantity-wallpaper-calculator or get in touch with us
Straight match patterns come already printed to size to fit a 2m or 3m wall, depending on the height you choose. These patterns DO NOT have a repeat to be used otherwise and will only cover the width and chosen height as written on the product page. (For example see below: 3 drops each 3m in height and 1.56m in width). For covering a wider area these patterns will match with a second roll.
A drop match pattern repeats itself half way down the side. These patterns are used for the standard 10m rolls. So if the pattern repeat is 104cm, the drop is 52cm. These patterns require more paper because there is some waste. Please take extra care when calculating the amount needed. We strongly recommend getting some hanging advise from a decorator to take the correct wall measurements and helping you to calculate the correct amount of wallpaper needed.
A free match pattern (like the design "Litte Falls") has no repeat and can be hung the way you like without paying attention to match the pattern.
Our wallcoverings are non-woven wallpapers, digitally printed in England on eco-friendly non-woven substrates from controlled sources, printed with water-based inks.
It is of great importance to us that our prints, which reflect the variety and beauty of nature, are sustainably made. Sadly many wallpapers are made of vinyl (PVC, Polyvinyl Chloride) that happens to be the most environmentally damaging of all plastics. Our non-woven wallpapers do not contain vinyl and therefore have a significantly lower carbon footprint than vinyl wallpapers.

We strongly recommend that you hire a professional and experienced wallpaper installer to hang your wallpaper. A professional wallpaper decorator is NOT a painter or contractor. Check with The Wallcovering Installers Association to find a professional who is providing high-end wallcovering installation in your area. (www.wallcoveringinstallers.org) For London you might also have a look at: Renovart (www.renovart.co.uk) Your wallpaper will come with an installation guide. Please read the instructions carefully prior installation and hand the instructions to your wallpaper installer.
After hanging 2 or 3 lengths, inspect the results to ensure that there is no shading or any faults. Also make sure that there are no site or hanging related issues like visible gaps from the wall or visible seams (the edges of dark wallpapers might need be coloured with a decorator’s crayon prior installation ). Get in touch with us immediately if you have an issue with the first drops installed. Do NOT hang all the wallpaper prior contacting us if you are not satisfied with the first result! No claims will be accepted for goods hung in excess of one roll. Please be aware that site conditions and levels of skill in application are are beyond our control. The information given in our specifications or hanging advice, whether verbal or written is for guidance and is given in good faith but without warranty. We can not be held responsible for the hanging of your wallpaper or damage caused by paste.
Read through the most common wallpaper installation problems and how to avoid these costly mistakes in our post below:
The first step in getting your wallpaper installed nicely is hiring a professional and experienced wallpaper installer. The result when having wallpapers installed by a specialist is much better than attempting to install them alone or by a contractor / painter who claims to know how to hang wallpapers. Hand them the wallpaper installation instructions that come with your wallpaper.
Make sure that the room is well aired with a constant temperature during application and drying time, ideally between 18 - 20 degrees Celsius. You might need to turn off your heating to avoid changes in temperature. DO NOT force the drying of your wallpaper with heat.
Keep the seams tight. The papers need to be joint carefully as closely as possible to avoid having a gap between the two paper drops. Make sure that the seams are well stuck down to the wall.
Wallpapers with an overall dark colour are known for developing visible white edges where the ends of the paper meet and need some precautions before and during the installation: The edges of dark wallpapers should to be coloured with a decorator’s crayon of a similar colour when the roll is in its tight form to prevent the paper cut is visible as a white line. It is also recommended to paint vertical linesin a matching colour on the wall where the seams will meet. This will help in disguising any small gaps between the wallpaper drops. More information about how to hang dark wallpapers can be found in our post on dark wallpapers below.
Please follow these steps not just for charcoal shades but also other dark shades, which might leave visible white lines from the paper cut or the gap where you can see the wall behind. This will take some extra time but you do not want to skip this step as white seams really can spoil the whole look. After hanging 2 or 3 lengths, inspect the results to make sure that there are no visible gaps from the wall or visible seams. Please note that site conditions and levels of skill in application are beyond our control. We can not be held responsible for the hanging of your wallpaper.
If you wish to install your wallpaper in the bathroom, kitchen or in a room prone to humidity please find detailed information on hanging wallpaper in a bathroom in our post on bathroom wallpapers below, or get in touch with us.
All our wallpapers are a paste the wall product and not made to have the paste applied on the back of the paper. Use a good quality, solvent free, fungicide protected ready mixed wallpaper paste that is suitable to be applied directly to the wall. For example the wallpaper paste by Solvite (Ready High Performance Wallcoverings Adhesive).
Do NOT use self-mix adhesives.
